Customer Service & E-Commerce Supervisor - Part Time
Base pay: $17.50/hr - $30.20/hr
At Whole Foods Market, we are working to nourish people and the planet. In this role, you will support the Customer Service & E-Commerce programs. You will lead processes supporting the checkout experience and grocery delivery & pickup at your assigned store. You will focus on driving safety, quality of outbound online orders, excellent pickup experience, team productivity, and program execution.
You will monitor key performance indicators and visual cues in-store to assess the Team’s performance. You are responsible for daily operations including managing capacity, labor utilization, adherence to pick processes, and task execution for E‑Commerce, and for cash management, customer demand management, labor utilization, and execution of store processes for Customer Service. As the Supervisor, you support the Team Leader in leading and developing Team Members.
You must strive to support WFM core values, Leadership Principles, and goals, promote national and store programs and initiatives, and ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Deliver outstanding customer experience; hold all Team Members accountable for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Establish clear expectations for balancing in‑store customer service and completing online orders.
- Monitor in‑store and online customer flow; assign customer service and online order tasks balancing customer needs.
- Seek awareness of relevant competitors and industry trends.
- Ensure an effective response to customer questions, requests, and concerns.
- Support collaborative relationships with departmental leaders, store leadership, and 1P/3P partners such as Amazon delivery drivers.
- Foster a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
- Maintain Team Member safety and security standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory rules and standards.
- Develop, coach, mentor, and motivate Team Members to sustain high performance and minimize turnover.
- Maintain cleanliness of work spaces including staging areas and coolers.
- Secure equipment such as MSRs, phones, and currency counters.
- Identify process improvement opportunities proactively.
- Communicate and model WFM core values and leadership principles consistently.
- Ability to manage tasks while balancing dynamic customer flows.
- Strong analytical skills to root cause underperformance identified by metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team‑building, and customer relationship skills.
- Capability to teach others positively and constructively.
- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations‑related applications.
- 12+ months retail experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Stand / walk 6‑8 hours in an 8‑hour day.
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
- Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching required.
- Exposure to FDA‑approved cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to temperatures 90°F.
- Work in wet and cold environments.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Use of tools and equipment (box cutters, electric pallet jacks, heavy machinery).
The wage range for this position is $17.50‑$30.20 per hour, commensurate with experience.
