Personal Trainer

Open for experienced Certified Personal Trainers at our fitness center. This position offers a competitive pay range of $24.00/hr to $30.00/hr based on your skills and experience. We are specifically looking for coverage on Saturdays and weekend shifts.

Trains clients and members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. The role requires overseeing at least two shifts in the Wellness and Fitness area, conducting New Member Personal Training Sessions, and serving as a resource for exercise-related questions while maintaining organization of the area.

• Safely work with clients to establish goals by following proper protocol and adhering to national guidelines and standards.
• Answer questions from members to support them in achieving goals, maintaining knowledge of wellness trends.
• Build effective, authentic relationships with members; help connect members within the YMCA community.
• Accurately track client sessions following YMCA protocol.
• Follow YMCA policies and procedures; respond to emergency situations.

• Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED.
• National Personal Training Certification from ACE, ACSM, NCSA, NATA, or NASM.
• Minimum of two years of fitness/training experience preferred.
• YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire preferred.
