Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to transition into a future finance leadership track. The role will focus on ownership of the monthly close process, financial reporting, internal controls, and supporting a growing accounting organization. The ideal candidate comes from a public accounting background and is looking for a long-term path toward Controller-level responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reconciliations.
- Support technical accounting and GAAP compliance.
- Assist with internal controls, audits, and process improvements.
- Partner with leadership on financial reporting and operational initiatives.
- Support development of accounting systems and scalable processes.
Compensation The annual salary for this role will be between $110,000 - $140,000 while in the junior role, and will increase once promoted to Controller.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA
- 4-7 years of accounting experience.
- Public accounting audit experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and monthly close processes.
- Big Four accounting experience.
- Senior Associate or recently promoted Audit Manager background.
- Net Suite experience.
- Experience supporting external audits.
-Construction-in-progress or fixed asset accounting experience. - Telecommunications, infrastructure, utilities, or capital-intensive industry experience.
- Power BI, SQL, or automation experience.
