Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) – Community
Compensation: $21.00 per hour. $1.00 per hour shift differential on weekends.
Benefits:

- Assists patient with all aspects of personal and oral hygiene including bathing, hair and skin care, and backrubs.
- Accurately takes and records vital signs.
- Safely assists patients with transfers to bed, chair, and commode.
- Supports bed-bound patients with appropriate range of motion exercises, turning and positioning.
- Performs accurate recording of intake and output (I&O).
- Follows a bowel/bladder training program; provides bowel/bladder incontinence care and assists with toileting.
- Performs all aspects of catheter care according to policy and procedure.
- Applies colostomy bags, anti-embolic stockings, braces, and simple dressings as instructed by the RN.
- Safely administers tepid sitz baths and assists patients in self-administering prescribed medication.
- Demonstrates safe and effective use of hoyer lift as instructed by the RN.
- Prepares patient's meals and assists with feeding according to dietary instructions.
- Observes the patient's physical and emotional status and reports any changes in a timely manner.
- Assists with post-mortem care as instructed by the RN.
- Accurately completes all documentation and submits via Cell Track.
- Safely changes occupied or unoccupied bed.
- Keeps patient environment neat and clean.
- Incorporates consideration of the physiological and developmental age of patients into the overall care plan.
- Participates in all required in-service education programs and meetings.
- Demonstrates commitment to work schedule by adhering to attendance standards; provides proper notification for absences or tardiness.
- Adheres to employment policies in accordance with the Employee Handbook.
- Demonstrates compliance with the dress code policy by appearing well groomed, wearing while on duty and maintaining a professional appearance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
