• Working experience with MIG Welding Robots.
• Create, maintain, backup, and standardize weld programs for optimal, defect-free performance.
• Responsible for effective and efficient set‑ups to ensure the proper change‑over of welding jigs is completed accurately and within an appropriate timeframe.
• Understand and recognize the importance of multiple MIG welding parameters such as torch angle, wire speed, voltage/amperage effects, optimizing weld speeds, and obtaining proper penetration with minimal splatter.
• Troubleshoot welding issues; determine root cause using basic welding parameters to achieve a good weld.
• Assist in the preventive maintenance of robots and welding jigs.
• Train and assist department operators as needed.
• Perform welding repairs as needed.
• Take on basic fabrication projects outside of production demands.
• Familiar with Lean principles including 5S, SMED, and TPM to help drive department efficiency.
• Understand LOTO procedures to prevent possible injuries.
• Ability to read and translate measurements on product diagrams.
