Shift: 2nd, Monday-Friday 4 PM - 12 AM

The Conversion Seamer Operator is responsible for safe and efficient operation of production machinery including primarily Seamers, but possibly including other equipment as needed.

• Conduct daily safety inspection of work area and address noted issues
• Prepare production supplies including tape, cores, and solvent
• Conduct daily inspection and preventive maintenance of machinery
• Conduct general set up of production machinery
• Install plates, rollers, guides, blades, and related equipment on machinery
• Read job specification sheet to determine job requirements
• Enter tolerances and parameters into machine computer
• Load, center, and web product into proper machine
• Maintain proper speeds and settings of machinery throughout shift
• Routinely check product samples against job specifications
• Conduct quality procedures including inspection of finished goods for quality defects
• Complete required paperwork for each job
• Pack finished product for shipment to customer
• Clean up machine and work area
• Meet production and quality goals
• Assist in training of new employees
• Assist with other tasks as needed
• Comply with all plant rules
• Perform all other appropriate duties as assigned by the management team

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
• Basic math and measurement skills

• Able to move and lift up to 50 lbs.
