We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant specializing in Tax and Client Accounting Services (CAS) to join our dynamic and growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to provide high-level accounting and tax services to a diverse range of clients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our Accounting and Finance department, contributing to the overall financial strategy and operations within the organization.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, Tax & CAS, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, trusts, and non-profit) in accordance with federal and state laws.
2. Assisting clients with various accounting and tax-related issues, including tax planning and compliance, financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis.
3. Reviewing and preparing financial statements, ensuring they comply with GAAP.
4. Managing and maintaining the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes.
5. Conducting research on tax laws and regulations to provide guidance to clients and the internal team.
6. Collaborating with other department teams to streamline and improve internal processes.
7. Providing leadership, training, and mentoring to junior staff.
8. Liaising with external auditors and managing tax audits.
9. Assisting in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for clients.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Accountant, Tax & CAS position, you should possess the following: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm, specifically in tax and client accounting services.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred.
3. Proficiency in tax preparation software and experience with 1120S, Income Tax, and general ledger.
4. Strong understanding of federal and state tax codes, and the ability to apply this knowledge to client needs.
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information. 10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and experience with accounting software such as Quick Books or similar.
