Incentive Compensation Manager
Syneos Health Commercial Solutions is seeking an Incentive Compensation Manager to design, recommend, implement, and maintain compensation programs that support company objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for incentive compensation (IC) services, including design, requirement gathering, specification documentation, and program reporting.
- Produce clear narratives, documents, and decks with data visualizations to communicate measurement plans, findings, and recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project documentation and scope documents.
- Lead the design of IC initiatives and process information to create reports on activity trends and projections.
- Train leadership and business partners on incentive plans and monitor plan performance.
- Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams describing input, output, and logical operations.
- Assume additional projects as directed by management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas, pivot tables, and Power Pivot reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with incentive compensation platforms (Varicent, Xactly, Oracle SPM, SAP Commissions, Anaplan, or others).
- Database query skills (e.g., Microsoft Access, SQL).
- Ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication and meeting facilitation skills.
- Team player with excellent follow‑up and customer service skills.
- Self‑motivated and results‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field). Master’s degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional‑level work experience in incentive compensation in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous IC reporting experience specific to sales teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel knowledge.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $135,000. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
