Solar Site Visit Technician

Overview

Exact Solar is hiring for a solar site visit technician. The site visit technician visits homes and businesses as the last step in the pre-contract process to collect information about the home or business and take measurements and pictures to ensure the property is suitable for solar installation. Inspection includes assessing the home's electrical equipment where the solar will interconnect as well as the roof age and condition.

Exact Solar utilizes a drone with special solar design software as part of the site visit process, so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn an FAA drone pilot license for use of the drone and conducting site visits independently.

• Visit homes and businesses as the last step in the pre-contract process to collect information about the property, take measurements and photos, and assess suitability for solar installation.
• Inspect electrical equipment where the solar system will interconnect and evaluate roof age and condition.
• Use drone technology and solar design software as part of the site visit process.
• Conduct site visits independently with the opportunity to earn an FAA drone pilot license.
• Interact with the sales team to understand and communicate any special information requests before and after each site visit.

• Candidate must present themselves professionally and be able to answer customer questions.
• Candidate must follow an organized site visit data collection process.
• Candidate must regularly interact with the sales team to coordinate information needs.
