Sr. CAD Designer - Engineering

Dynamic Engineering Consultants, P.C., is a leader in land development consulting with over 350 employees across 15 offices nationwide. We serve Fortune 500 companies and independent owners, providing comprehensive consulting that integrates design and permitting for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

The Senior CAD Designer is responsible for the AutoCAD drafting of land development plan sets for various retail, commercial, industrial and residential site projects.

• Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings from engineering notes, sketches, and/or other drawings, ensuring they meet company and industry standards and codes.
• Draft Land Development Plans, Zoning Plans, Concept Plans and Construction Documents.
• Draft Site Plan Renderings for Municipal Presentations.
• Work closely with Engineers, Designers and other Drafters to ensure coordination of design effort.
• Complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule; review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Organize/maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information.
• Utilize 3rd party applications like AutoTURN and AGI
  32 to generate drawings based on specific project requirements.
• Prepare grading designs and possess general knowledge of site topography and interpolation.
• Complete earthwork analysis (cut/fill takeoffs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Technical degree or certificate from an accredited designer/drafter curriculum.
• 5-8 years’ experience using the latest AutoCAD software in site development.
• Land Development Design experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D is a plus.
• High School Diploma required;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Good working knowledge of CAD drawings related to a variety of issues.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with respect to projects, CAD standards, and deadlines.
• Willingness to assume increased responsibilities.
• Team player and strong communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The salary range for this position is $30 - $40/hr based on experience.
