Pit Loader Operator

• Operate a front-end loader to safely and efficiently feed the crushing plant and load trucks, while reporting directly to the Production Supervisor or Plant Management.

• Conduct pre-shift inspections, perform routine maintenance, and promptly report equipment issues to maintenance personnel.

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure roads and berms meet or exceed MSHA standards.

• Support general pit maintenance activities, including grading, dust control, and drainage.

• Ensure all pit operations comply with company safety policies and federal regulations.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs, pit conditions, and equipment performance.

• Assist in training and mentoring new pit loader operators to promote a culture of safety and accountability.

• Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment, especially front-end loaders.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• Ability to identify and report equipment issues promptly.

• Willingness to train and mentor new operators as needed.

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

• Compliance with all company safety policies and federal regulations is required.

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

• $26-29 per hour
