Overview

Salary range $126,000 to $135,000 per year, depending on experience
We are seeking an Engineer Lead who will work as part of an autonomous agile team to develop features and applications to meet the needs of the Technology Solutions department. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering best practices, a strong agile mindset, and leadership in ensuring alignment with best practices, enterprise architecture, and stakeholder satisfaction. In addition to operational maintenance and troubleshooting, you will champion accessibility, UI standards, automated testing, and performance optimization across all applications.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with partners within the company to design, configure, maintain and promote a variety of internal- and external-facing applications and solutions.
- Collaborate across areas to ensure application reliability and coding to architectural standards.
- Advocate for product teams and provide constructive technical guidance.
- Drive UI standards and component library governance to ensure consistency and reduce technical debt.
- Champion accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA, ARIA roles) across all applications.
- Lead efforts in automated testing strategy and observability practices (e.g. telemetry, performance monitoring).
- Connect with developers within your team to coach, inspire, and foster a continuous learning environment.
- Build and maintain scalable, performant applications with a focus on optimization.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, software development managers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Contribute as part of the team by leveraging continuous delivery methods and test-driven development to frequently deliver new functionality.
- Contribute to continuous delivery and test-driven development practices.
- Review code, share knowledge, and mentor developers in specialized areas such as UI architecture, accessibility, and testing.
- Ensure technical dependencies are planned and addressed in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 8 years of experience
- B.A. or B.S. degree (or commensurate experience);
Master’s degree preferred. - Experience with relational and unstructured data repositories (SQL, Oracle, Cosmos DB).
- Experience with web and cross platform technologies, including Web Services, React JS, MS VB and C# .NET frameworks (including Web Forms and Windows Forms, .NET, .NET WEB API, Entity Framework 6.4, MVC Pattern, SPA Framework)
- Experience with GIT, code management methods, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure Dev Ops.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Azure tech stack (Functions, Data Factory, Service Bus, App Service, Key Vault, Cosmos DB)
- Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and ARIA standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient experience communicating through MS Teams

- (Preferred) Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Postman, etc.) and observability tools (App Insights or similar).
- Knowledge of modern development practices and the development life cycle with experience using Scrum, Kanban, Lean or other agile methodologies
- Azure certifications preferred
