George School, a Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, PA has openings for part-time Lifeguards covering various shifts Monday - Saturday. These are flexible shifts for weekday mornings/early afternoons as well as afternoon hours on Saturdays.
Description
George School is seeking part-time Lifeguards to work various shifts. The successful candidate will:
- Actively monitor the swimmers and environment at all times.
- Enforce all rules and regulations of the facility.
- Identify, eliminate and/or minimize hazardous situations to prevent accidents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.
- Administer the George School Pool Swim Test.
- Perform pool water testing.
- Respond quickly to all emergency situations.
- Administer any emergency first aid needed.
- Complete all required reports and records.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as scheduled.
Responsibilities include:

Requirements include:
- Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
- Excellent communication skills and strong swimming skills plus skills in rescue.
- Successful completion of PA education institution mandated background clearances.
- Commitment to working towards antiracism and developing and practicing cultural competency.
- Commitment to the traditions and philosophy of a Quaker educational community.
- Ability to work with a diverse student population and a style consistent with Quaker values.
