Purpose:

Under the direction of the Domiciliary Care Registered Manager Adferiad operates domiciliary care services in its extra care scheme Llys Glan Yr Afon. In line with our commitment to principles of empowerment, self-management, wellbeing and recovery and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards inspection and regulation (including CIW).

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated support team based at Llys Glan Yr Afon, based in Newtown.

Llys Glan Yr Afon comprises of 48 individual apartments offering those that live there, independent living with access to on-site 24-hour care and support. The service is generic and therefore supports individuals with a wide age range and variety of support needs - including physical disability, mental health, learning disability and frailty.

As a support worker you will be working 1:1 (occasionally 2:1) as part of a dedicated support team providing individuals with day-to-day living support which may include support with personal care, medication, manual handling and social inclusion, while focusing on promoting the wellbeing, rights and independence of the individual, and achieving their identified and desired outcomes.

Rosters are carefully created and managed to ensure continuity of support staff for individuals and promote good work/life balance for support staff.
