Overview

The Department of Land Economy and Newnham College wish to appoint an Isaac Newton Trust Academic Career Development Fellow in Urban and Regional Economics for a period of three years starting 30th September 2026.

Responsibilities

Carry out research in Urban and Regional Economics, including environmental economics and regulation, within the Department of Land Economy.

Teach and examine undergraduate courses and supervise undergraduate and MPhil postgraduate work, especially in migration or planning.

Contribute to the administration and other activities of the Department of Land Economy and Newnham College.

Develop a research project that can be completed within the three‑year period of the Fellowship and publish the results.

Requirements

Teaching strengths in central areas of urban and regional economics, including environmental economics and regulation.

Experience using quantitative methods in research or teaching.

Published work or significant publications in the specialist field.

Experience supervising postgraduate work is desirable.
