Water Resource Consultants | Expression of Interest

Role Overview

We are inviting Expressions of Interest from Water Resources Planning Consultants, from Senior level professionals through to established Technical Directors leading work areas on major projects. In this role you will support clients across the UK, collaborating closely with specialists across our Water Environment and Engineering Teams. You will play a key role in developing sustainable and joined‑up solutions, including water resources option appraisal, environmental assessment, water resources modelling, deployable output assessments, feasibility studies, and development of regulatory submissions.

• Contribute to or lead water resources option appraisal, environmental assessment, and water resources modelling projects.
• Prepare deployable output assessments, feasibility studies, and regulatory submissions to support client planning.
• Take a strategic view across disciplines to deliver results for senior applications and complex projects.
• Support client engagement, programme delivery, and the growth of our Water Resources capability.
• Help shape water resource planning and delivery across the UK, enabling clients to make informed decisions.
• Influence long‑term resilience, environmental outcomes, and sustainable water supply management.

• Experience in water resources planning, hydrology, water resources modelling, environmental assessment, water quality, catchment management, drought planning, strategic planning, or related disciplines.
• Ability to interpret technical information, analyse data, and contribute to evidence‑based decision making.
• Experience with Water Resource Management Plans (WRMPs), Drought Plans, Strategic Resource Options (SROs), RAPID programmes, regional planning studies, or wide‑scope resilience programmes is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary environments and develop practical, sustainable solutions.

By actively engaging in strategic planning, environmental investigations, and supply option development, you will help clients in the UK make decisions that influence water supply resilience, environmental outcomes, and sustainable management of water resources.
