Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Imaging Service Manager to join our multi-disciplinary team at Cambridge Breast Unit. The service delivers breast screening and symptomatic mammography using fully digital mammography. Cambridge Breast Unit has three tomosynthesis rooms and two mobile screening units for primary screening in Cambridgeshire.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Superintendent Radiographer in operational management of the Breast Imaging Service and deputise in her absence.
- Promote and deliver a high quality Imaging Service for the screening population and for symptomatic referrals.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all mammography equipment in the department and on screening vans, including data transfer pathways.
- Act as troubleshooter when equipment faults occur and request engineer assistance when necessary.
- Promote the clinical governance agenda of the Breast Unit.
- Promote Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a nationally recognised centre of excellence in Breast Imaging.
