He has Autism, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties and Epilepsy and has lots of triggers, so it’s important that his PA has experience of working with young people with similar needs. However, we would also consider someone who is willing to undertake training and learn about his individual needs.

He has a
very supportive family around him
, and this role will also provide his mum with some much-needed respite from her caring role, giving her some time to relax and recharge while knowing he is safe and enjoying himself.

The main aim of the role is to always provide 1-to-1 support, helping him to stay safe while enjoying activities and trips out.

He particularly enjoys:

  • Visiting museums and places of interest

  • More active activities such as walking football
  • Having a good chat – he is very sociable and loves to talk!

  • Kind, patient and understanding
  • Calm and confident
  • Experienced in supporting young people with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and/or Epilepsy, or willing to undertake training

  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Friendly and a good communicator
  • Happy to support an active young person in the community

Ideally, you will be a driver with business insurance, as driving may be required for community activities.

Terms

£14.00 per hour
45p per mile, mileage and reasonable expenses paid when out with the client
5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
