Specialist Mechanical Craftsperson qualified

You will work within the Environmental Services team, as well as their core specialist skill, a Mechanical Craftsperson will perform work including activities which are complex and/or non-routine.

• Installs, maintains, services and repairs full range of estate services equipment.
• Provides technical advice to other estates maintenance staff, contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Undertakes condition surveys, evaluates inspection reports.
• Responsible for calibration, fault finding and repair on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment.
• Examples include standby generators, heating systems, boiler house / hospital incinerators, and all other associated hospital plant and equipment.

The Capital, Estates and Facilities Directorate are seeking to recruit a specialist Mechanical Craftsperson qualified to work on pressure systems, with experience of working in a healthcare engineering environment.

• Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full‑time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa.
• If you are a Student visa holder, we will not be able to offer you a full‑time permanent contract unless you have applied for a Graduate visa.
• Alternatively, you will have successfully completed your course and applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of your employment.
• Or the Trust has agreed that they will sponsor you as a Skilled Worker and you will complete your studies within 3 months of the anticipated start date of employment.
