Overview

The Inpatient Unit at Arthur Rank Hospice provides expert care to patients with complex and end‑of‑life care needs. We offer a holistic, patient‑centred approach and work as a multi‑disciplinary team led by a Ward Manager.

Job Purpose

As a Registered Nurse, you will work 37.5 hours per week on a fixed‑term contract until 31 March 2027. You will deliver professional, patient‑centred palliative care and lead, support and encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills within the team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert, holistic care to patients and support their families.
  • Lead and support the nursing team, facilitating knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain the highest standards of care in palliative settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists and the Ward Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) with post‑registration experience in palliative care or community setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience working as part of a team.
Shift Pattern

Internal shift pattern includes early, late, long‑day, night and weekend shifts:

  • Early: 07:30–15:30
  • Late: 13:30–21:30
  • Night: 19:30–08:00
  • Long Days: 07:30–20:00
Salary and Hours

Starting salary of £32,073 per annum, pro‑rated for part‑time posts. Potential to progress to £39,043. Salary is based on full‑time hours; no negotiation above the maximum stated.
