Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with an innovative organisation based in North Belfast who are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The successful Assistant Accountant will produce accurate financial reports and driving continuous improvement within the finance team. If you are passionate about accounting and ready to make a material difference, we want to hear from you!

Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare and review period-end accounting adjustments, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain accurate balance sheet records, including asset registers and intercompany transactions, while resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support the production of monthly financial information, including reconciliations, performance analysis and management reporting.
• Assist with indirect tax compliance, statutory reporting requirements and year-end financial processes.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and audit activities by providing accurate financial data and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate payroll-related information and ensure timely submission of data to relevant stakeholders.
• Support the ongoing development of financial processes, controls and systems to improve efficiency and data integrity.
• Produce, maintain and enhance financial reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Promote a collaborative and professional working environment, supporting organisational policies and best practice initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
• Recent experience in a fast-paced finance environment
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiar with accounting software
