About the RoleThis role sits within a residential development project and supports the commercial team in managing costs, procurement, and financial performance across multiple phases of construction.

Project DescriptionThe project near Oxford consists of six phases, delivering a total of approximately 550 homes. The development is currently on Phase 3, with Phase 4 due to commence in June 2026.

- Preparing scopes of work and trade packages
- Preparing selected tender lists for approval
- Managing subcontract tendering processes
- Recommending subcontractors on a level‑playing‑field basis, ensuring full scope coverage
- Holding and minuting subcontract post‑tender and pre‑order meetings
- Preparing subcontract documentation in line with contract procedures
- Raising subcontractor payment applications
- Forecasting and agreeing design variations
- Producing subcontractor instruction and variation reports
- Agreeing final accounts with subcontractors
- Assisting with monthly cost reports
- Attending design team and subcontractor progress meetings
- Drafting contractual correspondence when required
- Supporting the Project Manager with financial implications of site decisions
- Countersigning site instructions
- Experience with in a developer or main contractor environment
- Site‑based experience
- Relevant educational background in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Working towards or undertaking a professional qualification
