This Managing QS opportunity puts you at the centre of contract negotiations, project profitability and commercial reporting. Working closely with the Regional and Operations Directors, youll help steer commercial performance across a portfolio of projects and support the teams delivering them.

Youll take ownership of the commercial and contractual position across projects, making sure risks are identified early, contracts are managed properly and work delivers the returns it should. Working alongside Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and operational teams, youll:
Review and negotiate contracts for new projects and retenders. Identify commercial risks and agree practical actions to protect margins. Oversee contract administration, including NEC contracts and their various options. Monitor applications, invoicing and payments to support healthy cash flow. Provide budget advice, forecasts and commercial support to project teams. Chair monthly project contract reviews and challenge financial performance. Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and work-in-progress reports for the Board.

Support negotiations and the resolution of disputes with clients and subcontractors. Should you apply? You could be an experienced

Managing QS or Commercial Manager, or aSenior Quantity Surveyor ready to take on broader commercial responsibility. Youll need strong contract knowledge, confident negotiation skills and the ability to spot a commercial issue before it becomes an expensive problem. Were particularly interested in candidates with:
Relevant industry experience and a strong understanding of project commercial management. Experience administering different forms of contract, including NEC. A track record in forecasting, financial reporting and managing contractual risk. The confidence to advise senior stakeholders and work closely with delivery teams. A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience. Strong organisational, analytical and IT skills.
