The Role
We’re looking to hire a Senior Motion Designer to help define how our forthcoming brand moves in the world ✨
This role will help define and deliver Cleo’s motion identity across all marketing and brand touch points. This is a hands‑on creative role that combines executional excellence with the opportunity to shape how we use motion as a key driver of our brand expression. You’ll work closely with our brand, campaign, and growth teams to concept and craft motion work that cuts through, brings energy to the Cleo voice, and sets new creative standards for the fintech space.
We value artistry in every sense of the word and we use AI in the creation of video assets responsibly. We want a leader to help us set and maintain those principles while being excited about utilizing AI in video creation as an exciting new tool in your toolbox.
Key Responsibilities- Craft and deliver high‑quality motion assets across a range of formats— from social content and paid ads to brand films and product storytelling
- Collaborate with copywriters, art directors, designers, and wider marketing teams to bring concepts to life through animation
- Help evolve Cleo’s motion language and visual system, contributing to the development of toolkits and templates
- Maintain high creative standards across output while working quickly and efficiently in a fast‑paced, test‑and‑learn environment
- Push creative boundaries with an eye for trends, tech (including AI tooling), and innovative storytelling formats
- Work cross‑functionally with marketing, growth, product, and creative teams to ensure alignment and consistency
- Your portfolio shows exceptional storytelling in motion— whether it’s a 15‑second Instagram ad, a brand campaign film, or a type‑led animation that punches.
- You’ve developed motion systems and toolkits for brands, and you understand how to balance craft with consistency.
- Strong hands‑on skills in After Effects, Premiere, Figma, and a solid grasp of 3‑D or mixed media workflows.
- You’re a creative thinker and a strategic doer— able to translate business needs and briefs into joyful, unexpected moving content.
- You should be able to think strategically and always have a focus on overarching goals, and how your role contributes to the wider Cleo business objectives.
- You’ve got a sharp eye for detail, killer taste, and the ambition to set a new bar for what motion looks like in fintech, and beyond.
