We are working with a brilliant specialist school in North Leeds that supports children and young people with autism and a wide range of complex needs. The team is all heart and zero ego, and they are looking for Teaching Assistants who are calm, kind, and ready to make every day feel like a small win.

What to expect
  • Small class sizes (6-9 pupils)
  • A team who communicates well (tea break chats encouraged)
  • Primary and Secondary phases—variety is the spice of life
  • Colleagues who are part of the journey, not just there for the ride
Your typical day might include
  • Tag-teaming with the class teacher
  • Helping pupils learn and feel good about it
  • Setting up, tidying up, and making the classroom a calm, inviting space
  • Picking up SEND knowledge on the job and through free CPD
We'd love to hear from you if
  • You're calm in a room that's anything but
  • You're curious, compassionate, and up for learning
  • You're happy to muck in and bring positive energy
  • You’ve got (or are happy to get) an enhanced DBS for Child & Adult Workforce
What’s in it for you?
  • A consultant who actually calls back
  • FREE CPD including Team Teach and other SEND essentials like Thrive
  • Weekly PAYE pay
  • Real recognition, real growth—you matter here
  • ✨ Thrive-trained? You get bonus points. If not, we’ll train you for free

Sound like a role that fits you like your favourite lanyard? Hit apply—we'll handle the rest. Whether it's your first SEND role or your fiftieth, we've got your back. Let's make Mondays feel a bit less... Monday-ish.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
