Openshift SAN Engineer

Open Shift SAN Engineer – 8 months+ – Umbrella £450‑£500 p/d – Hybrid UK wide base locations

We're looking for a Senior SAN Engineer with strong Open Shift and enterprise storage experience to design, manage, and support highly available SAN environments. You'll work with leading storage and fabric technologies to ensure performance, scalability, and resilience across mission‑critical platforms.

Work a Hybrid model at any of these base locations: London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Edinburgh

• Support and integrate storage solutions with Red Hat Open Shift environments
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise SAN solutions (Dell, Pure, HPE, Cisco, Brocade)
• Administer, monitor, and optimize SAN performance, availability, and capacity
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical leadership
• Lead SAN, storage, and data migration projects and vendor coordination
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards and policies

• 7+ years’ experience in SAN engineering / storage infrastructure
• Hands‑on expertise with Dell VMAX/Power Max, Pure, HPE storage platforms
• Strong experience with Cisco & Brocade SAN fabrics (zoning, VSANs, ISLs, NPIV)
• Red Hat Open Shift (installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, storage integration)
• Storage migration tools (e.g., Cirrus or equivalent) and replication technologies
• Protocols: FC, iSCSI, FCoE; DR and replication (SRDF, Time Finder)
• Tools: SYMCLI, Unisphere, Cisco DCNM, Brocade BNA
• Scripting/automation knowledge (Python preferred)
• Desirable certifications:
  Dell EMC, Pure Storage, Cisco CCNP, HPE ASE (or equivalent)
