Rugby Salary: £50,737.50 per annum Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Shift Pattern: 4-week rotating Panama shift pattern (days and nights) At Evri , we're continuing to invest in our hubs, technology and people to build the parcel delivery network of the future. We're looking for an experienced Hub Engineer to join our Rugby operation, playing a key role in keeping our automated sortation equipment and hub systems running safely and efficiently.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, preventing downtime and making a real impact on operational performance. About the Role As a Hub Engineer, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of electrical and mechanical equipment across the hub. Working as part of the engineering team, you'll carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, helping to ensure our operations run smoothly around the clock.
You'll be involved in fault finding, equipment optimisation and continuous improvement activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. What You'll Be Doing Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across hub machinery and equipment Diagnosing faults and responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise operational downtime Maintaining and improving the performance of conveyors, sortation systems and associated equipment Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and safe systems of work Recording maintenance activities accurately using the CMMS system Supporting engineering performance targets and continuous improvement projects Managing contractors on site, including permits to work and safety requirements Monitoring spare parts and highlighting stock requirements Supporting the reliability of key operational systems including generators, safety equipment and automated handling systems What We're Looking For Engineering qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, ONC or equivalent experience Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial or automated environment Knowledge of PLCs, ideally Siemens S7, SCADA systems and industrial networks Experience fault finding on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors and low-voltage systems Previous experience working with conveyors, sortation equipment or automated machinery Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards MEWP/access equipment licence would be advantageous Why Join Evri?
