Assistant Accountant – Newtownabbey - £28k to £30K

Ballyvesey Holdings is the privately owned parent company of a wide range of trading subsidiaries. Established in 1970, the group’s main activities are centered around commercial vehicles in transport and logistics, vehicle rental, truck and van sales, aftersales support and maintenance, trailer manufacturing and spare parts sales, transport industry services, construction equipment sales and rental, and property development.

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant who has the drive and the motivation to join a small, but well-established finance team.

• Preparation of monthly journals
• Daily bank reconciliations for four group companies.
• Assist with the administration of weekly and monthly payment runs
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly & quarterly P&L and variance analysis
• Day to day management of the group expenses system.
• Assisting in monthly reconciliations and month end closure
• Assisting in processing and posting supplier invoices.
• Other duties as required.

• Must have good A level qualifications or equivalent.
• Studied in one of the following subjects:
  Business Studies, Economics, Finance & Accountancy or a combination of same
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and workload management
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and in particular Excel.
• Able to work under pressure and to tight month end deadlines
