Job Overview

Are you a current or aspiring Finance Officer ready to launch or advance your career in a school setting? We are appointing an exceptional candidate to play a key role in our professional and friendly finance team, supporting our successful Medway region schools, as well as our Central Accounts Payable and Receivable function. To support our mission, the Finance Officer will join our growing Central Team, providing essential services to our Medway schools and the Central Finance function.

This is an exciting time to join the Trust as we strengthen professional operational support for our schools, offering exceptional opportunities for candidates seeking to progress their finance career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the efficient processing of finance transactions for our Medway, Kent schools and Central Team office.
  • Work will be split between one of the Medway schools (which will act as a base) and required monthly attendance for Central Team meetings at Tower Bridge, London.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, quick learner with strong attention to detail and the confidence to establish themselves as a key contributor to the schools and the Trust Finance Team. You should have significant experience of financial administration and be highly computer literate with strong Excel skills, and knowledge of accounting systems e.g. IRIS (PSF). This role will provide excellent career development working as part of a professional, qualified team.
