Technical Lead, IT​/Tech, AI Engineer

We’re partnering with a fast-growing AI-driven B2B SaaS company to find an experienced Technical Lead. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape technical direction, lead delivery, and mentor a talented engineering team working on innovative, data-led products.

This role is ideal for a Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, or Dev Ops Engineer ready to step into (or further develop) a people leadership role, while remaining technically hands-on.

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions
• Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing directly to complex engineering challenges
• Line-manage and mentor engineers, supporting career development, performance, and technical growth
• Drive Agile delivery, sprint planning, and backlog prioritisation alongside senior leadership
• Ensure adoption of best-practice AWS infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and cost-effective
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and AI teams
• Champion CI/CD, automation, testing, and engineering excellence
• Support AI, automation, and MLOps initiatives to improve productivity and product quality

• 10+ years’ engineering experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong background in AWS, Dev Ops, and scalable cloud architecture
• Hands-on experience across backend and frontend development
• Strong Agile delivery experience (Scrum, sprint planning, backlog management)
• Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Highly proficient in Java and Python
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Dev Ops practices
• Passion for mentoring and developing high-performing engineering teams

• Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups
• Experience with Agentic AI, MCP Servers, and AI spec-driven development
• Exposure to AI practices, prompt engineering, and MLOps
• Familiarity with tools such as Intelli
