Overview
This is an exciting contract opportunity for an SC Cleared Accessibility Tester, to join an experienced team working at the forefront of data analytics for a central government customer. This opportunity is open to Test Consultants who hold ACTIVE SC level security clearance.
Responsibilities- Deliver accessibility testing for the solution, focusing on Microsoft Teams as the presentation layer.
- Assess, validate, and document the accessibility of MS Teams against recognised accessibility standards.
- Review and analyse Microsoft's Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) for MS Teams to inform testing scope and findings.
- Review and apply relevant WCAG 2.2 test cases, assessing applicability to the MS Teams platform.
- Execute applicable accessibility test cases using appropriate accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies.
- Collaborate with the Technical Architect to triage accessibility defects and capture them accurately in Azure Dev Ops.
- Own the creation, maintenance, and timely update of accessibility testing documentation within the Azure Dev Ops backlog.
- Prepare and maintain a prioritised list of platform-level accessibility defects, advised by the Technical Architect, for client escalation to the platform provider.
- Produce a formal Accessibility Testing Report in an agreed format, including documenting findings, drafts for review, stakeholder feedback and the final report
- Proactively seek revisions and drive the process to formal sign-off from the Client Product Owner and Lead Technical Architect.
- Proven experience in accessibility testing, ideally on Microsoft Teams or comparable platforms.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2, and their practical application.
- Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and technologies, with the ability to assess strengths and limitations of tools for web-based vs cloud-based applications.
- Demonstrated ability to review and interpret Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs).
- Experience using Azure Dev Ops (or similar tools) for defect management, backlog tracking, and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify, prioritise, and articulate accessibility issues.
- Excellent communication skills, including producing structured, client-facing reports.
- Experience working collaboratively with technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning deliverables through to completion and sign-off.
