Job Description
Production Operator
LocationBrett Martin Ltd, 24 Roughfort Road
About the RoleTo carry out required duties on production lines, including ancillary machinery, and to ensure that finished products are of the required standard.
Working Hours & Compensation- 12‑hour shifts rotating days and nights, including weekends
- 40.25 or 46 hours per week, depending on shift pattern
- 7 or 8 out of every 14 days/night, depending on shift pattern
- £14.34 – £16.18 per hour inclusive of shift premium
- Salary up to £34,310.99 inclusive of shift premium
- Quality control and inspection of finished products
- Packaging of finished products ensuring they meet required quality standards
- Assisting with machinery as required
- Ability to work with warm water (personal protective equipment supplied if required)
- Maintain work area to required standard
- Deal with non‑conforming materials, processes and products in accordance with company procedures
- Participate in training and improvement activities and train others as required
- Be willing and capable to learn new and established processes and procedures within given time‑scales as required by the production manager
- Ensure that all output and product output sheets are completed on their shift and that any problems relating to scrap or downtime are clearly documented
- Basic numeracy skills
- Ability to work in a busy manufacturing environment
- A good level of English both written and verbal
- Can work 12‑hour shifts, including weekends
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Have a FLT license
- Basic IT literacy
- Recent experience working within a manufacturing environment
