General Farm Worker & sprayer operator - Faversham, Kent - £30,000 – £40,000 DOE
Working Hours
- Harvest season: 6 days per week, 6:45am – 5:00pm
- Winter season: 5 days per week, 7:00am – 4:00/4:30pm
The successful candidate will take on a broad range of responsibilities, supporting the day-to-day running of the farm throughout the year. This is a varied position covering all aspects of fruit production and general farm maintenance, with working patterns that reflect the seasonality of the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with all aspects of top fruit production, including pruning, thinning, and harvesting.
- Operate farm machinery and equipment as required – spraying, mowing, etc.
- Carry out general farm maintenance, including fencing, irrigation, and workshop tasks.
- Support seasonal workers during busy periods to ensure smooth harvest operations.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and welfare for all staff on site.
- Ensure produce is handled and presented to quality assurance standards.
- Adapt flexibly to changing priorities across the year.
We are representing a well-established 8-hectare top fruit farm based in Faversham, Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and reliable General Farm Worker to join a close-knit team on a progressive fruit‑growing enterprise.
The Candidate- Previous experience in fruit growing, vineyards, pruning, horticulture general farm work is essential.
- Competent with machinery operation and basic maintenance.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to seasonal workloads.
- Driving licence essential.
- Competitive salary of £30,000 – £40,000 DOE.
