Security Officer / Concierge – Mallusk

Recruiting for Security Officer

Location:

Mallusk

Part‑time: 40 hours per week

Pay rate: €12.21 per hour

Shift pattern: full‑time night shift (occasional weekend and day shifts)

Job summary

G4S is seeking a highly motivated and professional Security Officer / Concierge to join our team in Mallusk. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for our clients, staff and visitors. This role requires an individual with exceptional customer service skills, a friendly disposition and a keen eye for security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a first‑class customer service experience to all clients, staff and visitors.
  • Act as a primary point of contact, meeting and greeting all individuals entering the premises with a professional and approachable manner.
  • Manage access controls, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the building.
  • Maintain the security of the building and its staff, implementing all necessary security protocols.
  • Perform reception duties, including answering calls, managing deliveries and directing inquiries.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Handle gatehouse duties and access controls.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to any security incidents or emergencies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of all activities and incidents.
  • Collaborate with the wider security team and building management to enhance overall security.
Essential skills and experience
  • Proven experience in a customer‑service‑oriented role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a people‑person attitude.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and protocols.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Proficiency in access control systems and basic IT applications.
  • A high level of attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • SIA Licence (Door Supervisor / Security Guard) is essential.
Desirable skills
  • Previous experience in a concierge or corporate security role.
  • First Aid qualification.
