Recovery Driver (Category C / Class
2)

We are recruiting an experienced and customer‑focused driver to join the Donnelly Group Fleet Division. This role involves providing vehicle transport and recovery services across Northern Ireland, with occasional travel to the Republic of Ireland and mainland UK.
About the RoleAs a Recovery Driver, you will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the Fleet Division.
Your Responsibilities- Operate a HGV Class 2 (C) licence (16 Tonne) recovery vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Move vehicles between Donnelly Group locations.
- Collect and deliver customer vehicles in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide roadside breakdown assistance and vehicle recovery services.
- Support fleet contracts through scheduled vehicle movements and transport work.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with all road traffic legislation and health and safety procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the Donnelly Group professionally at all times.
Occasional travel within the Republic of Ireland and mainland UK may be required.
Essential Criteria- Minimum of 3 years' recent experience driving a recovery vehicle.
- Full Category C (Class
2) driving licence. - Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Excellent driving skills with a strong commitment to road safety.
- Professional, courteous and customer‑focused approach.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
- Ability to undertake manual handling and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good administration and basic IT skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
- No weekend work.
- 40‑hour working week.
