The Relationship Support Officer role provides essential administrative assistance to Relationship Managers within the Corporate and Business Banking sector. This position focuses on delivering exceptional service to clients, helping to foster a positive client experience while maintaining high ethical standards and compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in addressing client queries and requests promptly, ensuring communication between clients and internal departments is seamless.

Administrative duties include accurate data management on internal systems and supporting the onboarding of new clients while meeting compliance guidelines. This full-time position is vital in enhancing productivity and turnaround times within the team, ensuring that all processes align with established policies and procedures. The role requires a proactive approach to record-keeping and client satisfaction.

Job Duties
  • Address client queries and requests in a timely manner, monitoring progress and acting as a liaison between clients and internal departments.
  • Input accurate information onto systems and provide necessary data to managers and team members.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures to ensure controlled and consistent work processes.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver effective and pragmatic solutions.
  • Liaise with other business areas to ensure timely processing of transactions, maintaining high levels of client service.
  • Conduct regular updates and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and client account information to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide administrative support, including document preparation and investigation of payments in collaboration with other departments.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new clients, ensuring adherence to compliance guidelines and policies.
Job Requirements
  • Educated to at least Matric or A Levels, with a Diploma in Banking or Finance and Accounting preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a banking environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks methodically.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey self-confidence and work collaboratively.
  • An aptitude for analysing information and providing insights to improve processes and client experiences.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and adeptly handle customer concerns and conflicts.
