Business Support Officer
- Community Day Centre Role Responsibility

We are searching for a Business Support Officer who will play a pivotal role in helping our organisation operate efficiently and effectively.

This is a part-time, 28 hour a week position and will be based onsite at a Community Day Centre, located in the Dartford area. Community Day Services are within Adult Social Care and Health Directorate and provide opportunities throughout the day Monday
- Friday to adults with a learning disability with varying complexities of assessed support needs, to ensure that it meets the needs of people who draw on care and support. As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the service by providing high-quality administrative and operational support to the team. Experience working in a business support or administrative role, ideally within a social care or health setting is highly desirable.

What you'll be doing:

  • Advocate for our clients and champion adult social care and health, acting as a point of contact; assessing and resolving telephone queries, mailbox monitoring and production and distribution of correspondence and documentation
  • Cover reception, support with visitors and contractors.
  • Coordinate a range of meetings, including production of agendas, taking and producing minutes
  • Maintain financial processes, including preparing invoices, investigating queries and ensuring financial records are accurate
  • Data entry into a range of systems, resolution of queries and input into development of monitoring processes

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in business support, administration, or a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and other office software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude and a passion for problem-solving.
  • A positive, can-do mindset with a commitment to delivering high quality work.
  • Ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.
