Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive partner schools in Keighley. This is an excellent opportunity to support Key Stage 1 pupils with a range of special educational needs, whether you are experienced in SEN or looking to develop your skills.
The Role:- Provide 1:1 and small group support to Key Stage 1 pupils with SEN.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Promote independence, confidence, and social development.
- Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Manage behaviour positively and consistently.
- Assist with personal care and wellbeing where required.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.
- Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable, not essential).
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning.
- A Level 2/3 qualification in Education or equivalent (preferred).
