Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are partnering with a fast-growing, private equity–backed multisite business seeking to appoint a high-calibre M&A Analyst to support its ambitious buy-and-build strategy.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone currently working in Transaction Services (Big 4 / Top 10 / reputable mid-tier firm) who is looking to make their first move into industry or someone who has already held an in portfolio role to take ownership of Financial Due Diligence internally.

You will work directly with senior leadership and investors, playing a key role in evaluating, executing, and integrating acquisitions across the UK.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of M&A, responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and delivering internal Financial Due Diligence (FDD) on all future acquisitions, reducing reliance on external advisors
  • Analysing quality of earnings, working capital, cash flow, and key deal risks
  • Building and reviewing financial models and valuation analysis
  • Interrogating target financials and challenging assumptions
  • Preparing investment papers and Board materials
  • Managing data rooms and coordinating external advisors (legal, tax, commercial DD where required)
  • Supporting SPA negotiations with financial insight
  • Assisting with post-deal integration planning and synergy tracking
  • Monitoring performance of acquired sites vs investment case

This role will sit at the heart of the group’s buy-and-build strategy, giving you full visibility across the deal lifecycle — from initial review through to integration and value creation.

About You

We are looking for:

  • Background in Transaction Services / Deals Advisory
  • Strong hands-on FDD experience (QoE, working capital, cash normalisation) - Ideally in an in-house position
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Commercial mindset with a desire to move into a high-growth industry role
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment

This would suit someone ready to step away from external advisory and take ownership of diligence internally, influencing real investment decisions.
