Assistant Management Accountant

• Previous experience in an Assistant Management Accountant or similar finance role
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Experience assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
• Proficient with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage, Business Central or Net Suite, alongside strong Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
• Experience with in construction, engineering, energy or a project-based environment would be advantageous
• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or actively working towards a professional qualification (desirable)

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met
• Maintain accurate financial records and support robust financial controls
• Produce financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making
• Work closely with operational teams to improve financial processes and reporting
• Support audit preparation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
