Locum Democratic Services Officer - Up to £40 per hour (Umbrella) - Hybrid - Initial 3+ months - Midlands

Venn Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Democratic Services Officer to support a Local Authority on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Democratic Services Officer to join a friendly team and make an impact in supporting the Council’s governance function.

• Rate: Up to £40 per hour (Umbrella)
• Contract Length: Initial 3 months, with likely extensions
• Working Arrangement: Full Time or Part-time applicants considered
• Onsite Requirement: Primarily remote, with office attendance to support meetings

• Supporting and servicing formal council meetings
• Preparing agendas, minutes, and reports
• Providing procedural and constitutional advice
• Ensuring effective compliance with relevant legislation

• Proven experience working within Democratic Services
• Local authority experience is essential
• Strong understanding of local government procedures and governance
