We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Manager to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson.

Joining us on a full time, 40 hour per week basis, you will work across 5 days per week.

The Opportunity

To Lead & manage the resources effectively to sustain a robust Clinical Governance framework at Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson. Ensuring SQR reporting, KPIs and compliance with CQC key lines of enquiry meets the required standards. In collaboration with the QCA work with the RQMs and the Hospital Manager to address identified gaps in compliance. Routinely provide assurance to the senior management team on areas of good practice as well as areas for improvement.

Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with HM and Clinical Lead establish and coordinate Quality improvement initiatives and projects across the hospital such as:
  • AIMs Accreditations and National Benchmarks
  • Required improvements identified by CQC and QAM reviews
  • Support services in aligning Operational policies to service model.
  • Keep services appraised on their performance against established KPI to influence areas for focus and recognise areas of achievements.
  • Contribute to quarterly service reviews in conjunction with HM
  • Monitor and routinely reporting on progress against all quality related action plans such as Enabling Environment, Aims accreditation and Quality Network for LD.
  • Oversee the implementation of agreed local audit program including changes required in practice.
  • In collaboration with senior CSM contribute and support staff training needs ensuring staff knowledge informs safe practice.
  • Maintain oversight of the application of KPI systems on MyPath care plan, DRA and GAP are routinely reviewed and maintained at a high standard across all wards.
  • Maintain an oversight on the safe application of enhanced observations, risk alerts, supervision and training.
  • Maintain and oversight of medicines management and compliance with the live view audits.
  • Monitor trends in medicines management and ensure action being taken to rectify gaps such as MHA, prescription and administration errors.
  • Coordinate share and embed lessons learnt from incidents and complaints in clinical practice locally and at corporate level.
  • Participate in investigations and reports as required.
  • Support the development of a service culture conducive to learning and personal growth.
