Position: Buyer (FMCG)
Buyer, North Down, £40k - £45k + benefits We are working with a leading NI owned & operated FMCG producer who supply across the UK & Ireland to recruit their new permanent Buyer. Joining a busy procurement team you will be working on the procurement and purchasing of raw materials, ensuring quality, cost & supply needs are consistently achieved. This will include;
Procure fresh produce and raw materials for production Manage supplier queries, pricing, terms, quality and supply issues Support QA/Goods-In with POs, traceability, stock rotation and records Maintain accurate pricing, procurement, supplier and delivery data Secure back-up supply and source new materials as required Monitor markets, seasonality, pricing and consumer trends Assist with customs clearance and resolve system issues Recommend improvements to procurement processes What we are looking for Purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience Sound level of IT skills to include procurement software Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable as would be customs clearance experience Strong communication skills In return you can expect a generous package & progression opportunities
