Interim Director of FP&A

We are partnering with a private equity-backed professional services business (c. £400m revenue) to appoint an experienced Interim Director of FP&A to support the next phase of value creation.

This is a high-impact leadership role, working closely with the CFO, executive team, and investors to drive financial insight, performance visibility, and strategic decision-making during a critical period of growth and transformation.

• Lead and enhance the FP&A function to deliver best-in-class financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Provide clear, actionable insight to the Board and PE stakeholders
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Develop robust KPI frameworks to support operational performance
• Partner with senior leadership to drive margin improvement and operational efficiency
• Support strategic initiatives including investment cases, commercial analysis, and potential M&A activity
• Improve financial reporting, modelling capability, and decision support tools
• Strengthen financial governance and planning processes in a PE environment

We are seeking a proven interim leader who:

• Has operated at Director / Head of FP&A level within mid-to-large scale organisations
• Brings experience in private equity-backed businesses
• Has a strong track record in professional services or people-based businesses
• Is highly commercial with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Can quickly assess, stabilise, and elevate FP&A capability
• Is comfortable working at pace in a dynamic, performance-driven environment
