Vickerstock is working in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business to appoint a Production Line Leader to join its growing operations team based in Newtownards.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, product quality and operational efficiency.

- Day shift working pattern, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

- Leading and motivating a team of production operatives to achieve daily production targets
- Ensuring production lines are correctly set up and all pre-start checks are completed
- Organising packaging materials and resources required to fulfil production plans
- Executing production schedules in line with customer orders and operational requirements
- Monitoring product quality and ensuring compliance with customer specifications
- Completing all relevant production and quality documentation accurately
- Training and supporting new employees and agency staff on departmental procedures
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety and company standards
- Monitoring line performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Liaising with production, technical, hygiene and management teams to ensure efficient operations
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the production area
- Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring audit readiness at all times
- 1 year's experience within a food manufacturing or food production environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production environment
- Proactive approach to problem solving and achieving production targets
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and digital recording systems such as tablets or iPads
- Food Safety Level 2 qualification or above
- Health & Safety and/or First Aid qualifications
- Experience supplying high‑profile retail customers
- Flexibility to support operational requirements when required
