Local Division Digital Lead – Energy Industries

Reporting to – HUB Digital Sales Manager.
Your Role and Responsibilities- Work model: home‑based from the UK with both UK and international travel.
- Develop and implement the digital solutions sales growth strategy in partnership with Process Automation Energy Industries sales leadership.
- Act as the digital solutions sales champion for the region.
- Enable collaboration between regional/global digital teams and the sales organisation.
- Manage the digital solutions sales opportunity pipeline – qualification, forecasting and governance.
- Lead customer sales engagements and strategic account teams for digital pursuits.
- Create and execute strategic account plans for top‑tier customers aligned with ABB strategy.
- Identify growth opportunities across digitalisation, reliability, operational excellence and performance optimisation.
- Design multi‑year engagement strategies to secure long‑term partnerships.
- Serve as the primary contact for digital initiatives within strategic accounts.
- Build trusted‑advisor relationships with stakeholders across operations, engineering/technology and executive levels.
- Facilitate regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with ABB account teams and customers.
- Collaborate with technical and product teams to tailor digital solutions to customer needs.
- Lead consultative, value‑based engagements focused on ROI and measurable business outcomes.
- Translate complex technical offerings into clear, compelling business value propositions.
- Align go‑to‑market strategy with solution consultancy, product management and delivery teams.
- Coordinate with service and support teams to ensure seamless post‑sales execution and customer success.
- Provide customer feedback to inform product innovation and development.
- Track industry trends, competitor activity and customer developments.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and CRM documentation.
- Report on account performance, risks and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, technology or a related field.
- Several years of experience in digital sales within process automation, energy industries or related sectors.
- Proven experience developing and implementing sales growth strategies and managing opportunity pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic account engagements and multi‑year customer pursuits.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, forecasting and digital solution selling.
- Strong consultative selling approach with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
- Ability to innovate, take ownership and drive continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English; based in the United Kingdom.
- Willingness to travel within the UK, Ireland and Azerbaijan – up to 50 %.
