An entrepreneur based in Gaborone, Botswana is seeking an app developer to build a service provider application designed for the events industry. The app, titled Event Ease, will connect event service providers with clients, streamlining the process of discovering, booking, and managing event services. The goal is to create a user-friendly, scalable, and reliable platform that can serve as a digital marketplace for event-related needs.

This is a freelance, remote project with an expected delivery timeframe of 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of future development work after launch.

• Design and develop the Event Ease mobile application for iOS and Android.
• Build user interfaces for both service providers and clients with intuitive navigation.
• Implement functionality for service discovery, booking, and communication.
• Develop secure payment integration to handle bookings and transactions.
• Ensure responsive performance and smooth user experience across devices.
• Integrate features for user profiles, ratings, and service categories.
• Collaborate on defining scope, features, and timeline with the client.
• Provide technical documentation and support for post-launch iterations.

• Proficiency in cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter or React Native, or native app development (Swift, Kotlin).
• Strong knowledge of backend development and APIs for app functionality.
• Experience with secure payment gateway integration.
• Understanding of database design and scalable architecture for service platforms.
• Ability to ensure mobile optimization, reliability, and security.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to advise on best practices and scope.
• Availability to deliver within a 3–6 month timeline, with potential for ongoing collaboration.
