HGV Class 2 Driver; Nights

Position: HGV Class 2 Driver (Nights)
HGV Class 2 Driver – Halesowen People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Halesowen , West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role would suit applicants who have worked in roles such as LGV Class 1 Driver , CE Driver , or Articulated Lorry Driver .

Shifts
• Sunday to Thursday
• 19:00 start times Rates of Pay • £16.00 per hour (basic) Benefits
• Weekly pay
• Immediate starts
• Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties
• Completing trunking (1 drop) to the Newport depot, with occasional return stock
• Assisting with shunting vehicles for the remainder of the shift
• Operating and driving Class 2 (Category

C) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category C driving licence
• Minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category C vehicles
• Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
• Good spoken and written English
• Punctual with excellent time-keeping
• Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial driving experience Training
