We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day payment operations for a contract assignment in Niagara Falls, New York. This role focuses on accurate invoice handling, timely disbursements, and consistent financial recordkeeping in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail and hands-on experience with accounts payable processes, including coding, ACH transactions, and check processing.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval before processing payment.
• Assign correct general ledger or account codes to invoices and expense documentation.
• Enter and maintain payable records in a timely manner to support accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare electronic payments, including ACH transactions, while ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Coordinate scheduled check runs and verify payment details prior to release.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies and work with internal contacts or vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
• Reconcile payable activity and supporting documentation to help maintain organized financial files.
