Duties As a DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS, GS-1801-12, you will serve as the focal point for interpreting, developing, and implementing Air Force inspection policy and wing-level long-range strategic plans. Provides direction and oversight of internal and external inspections, audits, evaluations, reviews, exercises, and analyses to determine unit effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures operational, contingency, and mobilization plans adhere to policy and direct the effective use of wing resources.

* May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; knowledge of applicable laws, directives, regulations, policies, and procedures; skill in interpersonal communications, empathy, and effective listening; ability to organize thoughts, research materials, and manage case projects; skill in comprehending and interpreting directives and laws; ability to enunciate without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit effective communications;
ability to write reports and presentation formats; and ability to communicate
-orally and in writing- clearly and effectively. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Knowledge or experience of an administrative nature, which involves the exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal responsibility, and application of a substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts, and practices applicable to one or more fields of administration or management.
Experience with supervising, leading or performing inspection, investigation, enforcement, or compliance work. Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) policies and the regulations of the Department of the Army, Department of the Air Force, and the National Guard Bureau related to record-keeping, inspection, investigative techniques, and general office practices.
